Minor problem - my 360 controller no longer works outside of Emulation Station. When finished I got a bunch of fail messages but there are definitely some changes to the UI, so something must have happened. However, I got a message saying retropie needed updating (can't remember wxactly what it said) so I clicked ok and it spent at least 10 hours updating.
Playstation quick menu update#
One of the guides I was reading said to update the retropie set up script first so I attempted that. I decided I needed to properly scrape my roms - previous attempts had been partially successful. It has been working fine (before I interfered).

I set up a pi 3b+ a few years ago with the basic Retropie install from the website, nothing fancy. It's just that lzdoom isn't seeing any of this for some reason. It also looks like my gamepad bindings are intact. When I open lzdoom.ini and look at the sections for each of these iwads, the filepath pointing to my improvement wads is still there, and looks correct. I haven't played Doom in several months, which means I also haven't meddled with any of its files either. The gamepad doesn't work for these anymore, and any improvement wads I previously set up are not working. My gamepad also doesn't work anymore.ĭitto for other iwads that have their own section within the "lzdoom.ini" such as doom2, plutonia, tnt, hexen, heretic, sigil, etc. Today I wanted to play Doom, only to find out that none of my improvement wads (such as SmoothDoom.wad, Doom_Sound_Bulb_v2.wad, doom_wide.wad, etc.) are working. I was all set to give up and junk the Pi and replace with an Intel NUC. I was the person who helped with his setup a while back. I had already eliminated the deadzone as in your thread. This time direction (up, down etc) came in as RP1 X+, X-, Y+ and Y. Et voila, proper analog control of Star Wars in Mame 2003 plus after reconfiguring the input there again. This time instead of mapping the yoke to the dpad, I mapped it to the left analog stick. I went back into EmulationStation and reconfigured my input settings. The direction controls listed in the Mame 2003 plus settings were described as RP1 Dpad up, down, left and right. I had a eureka moment tonight and had another look at my setup. The crosshairs would linger in the centre of the screen and then jump to the edge, totally unplayable. Re: Mame DEADZONE with Analog I've just swapped over from a Pi3B+ and Alan-1 repro yoke to Pi4 with GRS yoke. The is a black screen when there normally should be the game, and the game runs super fast and the sound sounds awful. So I recently did a fresh install of Retropie and updated everything, and I am encountering problems with Drastic I haven’t had before.

I usually don’t get too excited about this sort of thing but having more options right at my fingertips is awesome. Holding the PS button pops open the revised menu, which now has shortcuts to your communities, friends and easy music integration via Spotify.
